What is NSS ? NSS or National Service Scheme is a co-curricular activity guided and funded by the Govt. of India (Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports). Students of XI, XII, Graduation & also of Post Graduation can enroll themselves in their Institutional NSS Units. The Office of the State NSS Officer and also the Office of the Principal Secretary of WB took the expertise of Ramkrishna Mission Ashram, Narendrapur, Kolkata to motivate the Programme Officers (POs) who are the main part of NSS. Because, these trained POs then motivate the NSS volunteers to make the student volunteers a better human being in future. The main objective of NSS is: “Personality Development of Students through Community Services”. The motto of NSS is: Not Me, But You. It means, my problem will be solved later on; let’s solve your problem first.
