The Department of Nutrition Science, one of the prestigious departments of Bankura Sammilani College, was established in 2009 with a noble vision of promoting applied science among the students as well as developing nutritional awareness in the community.
This department offers undergraduate honours course with intake capacity of 33 students. Four faculties (one contractual and three guests) of the department make every possible effort to impart best education to the students and to encourage them to develop an indomitable attraction for the subject. The department works silently but its success talks loudly and it is proved with the achievement of the students including their performances in the UG and PG level. It produces a plethora of successful students, some of which are university rank holders.
Arranging seminars, workshops, exhibition and nutritional awareness programme on regular basis is the traditional feature of the department. The department is devoted for the benefits of the students as well as people of the community.
